Talent Award 2017

The Solvay Library in Brussels was the ideal venue for our 2017 HR Talent Award. As is our custom, the jury awarded two prizes of excellence, one for the best Flemish master thesis and one for the best Walloon thesis.

The Flemish winner, Sarah Van Hautte (Ugent), devoted her research to a particularly topical subject, i.e. “Langer werken na de pensioenmaatregelen van Michel I: Wens of werkelijkheid?” Jan Van Hootegem (Group HR Director at Vandemoortele) acclaimed her work for its elegant writing style and acute observations. Announcement: HR Talent Award 2017

Schelstraete Delacourt Associates will hold its yearly HR Talent Award on 20 April 2017 at the Solvay Library in Brussels. The program features a keynote talk by Elke Van Hoof (European Parliament) on stress and burn-out in the workplace and how to prevent it. The most festive part of the evening will be devoted to our HR Talent award. The nine laureates have all been educated at a Belgian university and have produced an outstanding master thesis in Dutch, French or English relating to the field of HR. But who has written the best one?

Apple Youth Tour... a successful finale

For a whole year, Peter Hinssen's unique collection of Apple products was displayed in our office.

The concluding tour was reserved for the youth. Peter, a fervent collector of Apple and related devices, led them through Apple's evolution. He told the inspiring story of design and art, of focus and perfection, of failure and glory – which is also the story of Steve Jobs' life.

With this initiative, Schelstraete Delacourt Associates aims to make young people aware of the recent revolutionary history of technology and its impact on their future.
